VOLVO 670
Prior to the REVITALIZATION of the Volvo 670 truck, a routine diagnosis was performed by spectral analysis of the used oil in the Blackstone laboratory
The engine was treated with REVITALIZANT (XADO AMC MAXIMUM Diesel Truck). Repeated oil tests were performed at 1,700,000 km and 1,800,000 km of regular truck operation.

The test results showed a multiple reduction in the amount of metals in the oil. This indicates virtually wear-free operation of the engine after treatment over a mileage of more than 500,000 km.

What do the metals say?
Al, Fe, Cu, Cr, Pb. These metals are essential elements of any engine. During engine operation, metal particles are abraded from the working surfaces of the parts and get into the motor oil. Spectral analysis can be used to determine how much and which metals are in the oil. This data can then be used to assess the technical condition of the engine.
Chromium (Cr) in the oil indicates piston ring wear.
The presence of aluminum (Al) particles in used oil can be caused by worn camshaft bearings, turbine bearings, crankshaft thrust bearings, and pistons.

Fe

Iron (Fe) is a basic construction material and a component of the cylinder block, cylinder head, valves, crankshafts, camshafts, piston pins, etc. Increased iron content in used oil indicates heavy wear of engine parts.

Cu

High copper (Cu) content can be a sign of wear in the copper–lead crankshaft bearings.
Pb

Lead (Pb) is often found in babbitt coatings and in alloys used in connecting rods and crankshaft main bearing shells. Its high content in used oil is an indication of bearing wear.

Blackstone Laboratories, USA, is a recognized leader in its industry, analyzing oils for cars and trucks, aircraft engines, and motor boats; industrial oils; etc. Their main focus is the spectral analysis of oils using the induced plasma method. It is a quick way to assess the condition of an engine by the amount of each element present in an oil sample in ppm.

Andreas Uykus, truck owner
The cost of a new engine exceeds $20,000, and for me, every repair means not only direct costs, but also downtime, contract violations, missed deadlines, and fines. That’s why the first report worried me: high copper and lead levels indicated bearing wear; iron, although within tolerance, left a lot to be desired. Using XADO AMC Maximum for Truck, I did not expect such a good result, that the metals would be better than normal! After analyzing the results, the experts in the lab decided that the engine had been overhauled :)
